What do dancers think about when they dance? Where do ideas for performances come from? And why do some people call rolling on the floor art? Everything you always wanted to know about contemporary dance and never dared to ask!
The performance continues the educational thread, which the Beware, Dance! series has been known for for many years. Since the premiere of the first edition in 2010, more than 10,000 young people have attended the performances. Building on this legacy, the newest piece develops a communicative theatrical experience that engages young audiences through the aesthetics and logic of contemporary audiovisual media.
Live dance intertwines with video footage, projections, archival material, digital imagery and experimental modes of video presentation that expand the stage space and create a visual language familiar to younger generations. Acclaimed host and improviser joins the dancers and establishes a direct connection between the stage and the audience, guiding viewers into the world of contemporary dance with humour and ease. His presence creates an atmosphere of curiosity and shared reflection.
