Decide

Life is a finite time given to us with the purpose of living it and being grateful for every minute, every moment, every touch of a fellow human being. Every time we breathe, we give our body the chance to function, filling it with energy that allows us to move, experience the world around us, educate ourselves, understand, create, love, and be part of society. Our task is to understand that we are in this world for as long as we are meant to be, but in that time, we can do so much good and meaningful work that even when we are gone, a trace remains. A trace that signals we were aware of who we were.
We can be more than that – we can be a chance that means another breath, another moment for someone else. All we have to do is decide that we want to become part of the network that makes this possible. Therefore, it is important to learn, choose, and decide in life whether we want to be more than just HUMAN.

Katja Dance Company and DanceArt.si proudly present a new charity dance-theatre performance, created in collaboration with the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Organ and Tissue Transplantation, Slovenija-transplant. Under the artistic leadership of choreographers Katja Vidmar and Mitja Popovski, produced by Albert Podrekar, and under the honorary patronage of Ms. Vlasta Nussdorfer, the performance opens a space for one of the most important topics of modern society: the decision for organ and tissue donation.

Through contemporary dance, music, and visual storytelling, the performance explores moments when a person faces the most difficult questions – about transience, compassion, and the power of giving. It invites the audience to reflect on autonomous, voluntary, and informed decision-making, encouraging an open dialogue about organ donation as a natural part of end-of-life medical care.

For many years, Katja Dance Company has been creating socially engaged projects that connect art and charity. With this performance, we remain committed to this mission: a portion of the proceeds from the performances, after expenses are covered, will be donated to the Slovenian Transplant Association to support their tasks in accordance with the association's founding act.Through contemporary dance, music, and visual storytelling, the performance explores
