Now I Can Pack Up, Now I Can Go

#concert

On an old radio
I tune in a good sound
it spins me around
moves me here and there
presses me to the ground

that good sound
that throws us on our backs
a lighter and tobacco
like a drill to the bone
drives me mad in an instant

this pencil knows me
and the box begins to play
on medium-hard graphite
and the trace that follows us
casts a shadow over bright days
for fucked-up people

“The music-performative project Now I Can Pack Up, Now I Can Go moves through the form of a concert in a relaxed yet committed way, wandering through the feelings of contemporary everyday life that quietly emerge from the interplay of Primož Čučnik’s poetry, the sensitive vocal interpretation of Nataša Živković, and a musical landscape layered by the ensemble under the direction of Tomaž Grom. None of the elements – complemented by video fragments and performative gestures – takes the foreground. Like fragments of a shared presence, they merge into a seamless whole that speaks – and addresses us – on multiple levels.”

(The event received the Golden Lightning Award for the most outstanding event at Stara elektrarna in 2024.)

The performance is presented as part of the 7th TRIGGER Festival 2026, taking place 18–21 March 2026 at various venues in Ljubljana and Maribor. The festival presents current Slovenian independent performing arts production and aims to strengthen the position of independent producers and artists in both the local and international context. The platform is created in partnership with Glej Theatre, Bunker, Maska, Moment Maribor, Motovila, City of Women, Pekinpah, Slovenian Youth Theatre, and Via Negativa.
